Awareness Programmes
HELP CHILD, since its inception have organized the following programs for Parents, Teachers and Health Professionals in various parts of Tamil Nadu, India and in Doha, Qatar.
2014 – A conference on Parenting was organized on 25 Jan 2014 with the theme “Befriending your Child as a Parent” at Maharishi Vidhya Mandir Sr. Sec. School, Chennai. His Excellency Mr. Bharath Joshi, Deputy High Commissioner, British Deputy High Commission, Southern India and Mr. K Devarajan, Director of Government Examinations, Govt. of Tamil Nadu were the chief guests. Prof. M C Mathew, Developmental Pediatrician and Child Neurologist was the resource person.
2012 – Awareness program on scholastic backwardness for Teachers and Parents was held at Madras Christian College Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Chetpet, Chennai.
2011 – Organized International Conference on Behavioural Sciences for Parents, Teachers and Health Professionals in Chennai.
2010-11 – Awareness Programme for Principals/Correspondants of all the Matriculation Schools (over 6,000) on Scholastic Backwardness – LD, ADHD in collaboration with Directorate of Matriculation Schools under the able guidance of Mr.K.Devarajan. Director of Matriculation Schools
2010 – Awareness Programme for over 800 Principals/Headmasters of Government/Aided Schools in Hosur, Tamil Nadu
2009 – Awareness Programme on Learning Difficulty was organized for teachers and parents of 18 different schools in Doha, Qatar.
2008 – Awareness Programme on Learning Difficulty for parents and teachers was held at St. Peter’s Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Kodaikannal, Tamil Nadu
2006 – Rural Outreach Programme on LD Awarness for parents and teachers of G.S Kalyanasundaram Matric. Hr. Sec. School, Palayagudalur, Kuthalam, Mayilaaduthurai and G.S.K. …., Kumbakonam.
2001 – Help Child and Rotaract Club (Women’s wing) organized an Awareness Programme on Learning Difficulty for teachers/parents in Ambur, Tamil Nadu.
1999 – Our first Learning Difficulty Screening camp was conducted for the students of Santhome Matriculation Hr. Sec. School, Chennai.
1994-95 – Our first Training Programme for teachers was conducted at Holy Cross School, Salem.
1994 – Our first Awareness Programme on Dyslexia for parents and teachers was organized for the schools in the twin cities of Hyderabad and Secundrabad
